Endpoint Security Pool

Posted: 07 Oct 2015 05:08 PM PDT I was on the Safari app of my iPhone 5, and received a popup warning of a security breach/hacker. Even upon pressing 'OK' it wouldn't go away and had a support number. I reset the phone (after turning off data/internet) and was finally able to close the window. Should I continue worrying, or was it probably a hoax? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 05:07 PM PDT Posted: 07 Oct 2015 04:07 PM PDT So I was told that this person can't log into netflix. They called netflix and they told him that he can't log in because he has a virus and got hacked and that they know his ip address. He asked me if he bought a new computer could that new computer get hacked into and I said idk. So my question is can he still get hacked and if so what can I do to help fix this problem and would he need to call isp for a new ip? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 01:14 PM PDT My school has program that scans everyones computers on the network to make sure they have an anti-virus software as well as their own program installed. However my Mac is only limited to 4gb of ram and when I use their program, which has a ton of memory leaks in it, and the anti virus software my computer is only left withone gig of RAM left. So is there someway to show up invisible to the network so they can't scan my computer? That way I don't have to keep their lame software installed? @wg0z Awesome!!! Works 100 percent without failing me at all! You da real MVP Posted: 07 Oct 2015 12:41 PM PDT Alice's computer was infected by Virus X, which attached itself to all her applications. Bob lent her a file-searching utility which was stored on a USB stick. This utility, however, was infected by Virus Y, which then infected all of Alice's applications too. Thus, each application contained two virus infections. Draw a diagram based on Figure 3.7 (see the link please in the below) to show both infections in a single application file. Posted: 07 Oct 2015 11:55 AM PDT Posted: 07 Oct 2015 11:20 AM PDT This link should help and when i click on a link in yahoo answers that comes up Posted: 07 Oct 2015 11:03 AM PDT I use a school laptop, and It blocks most websites. I want to unblock a certain website, but I can't. It is getting blocked from a software installed into the computer, so a vpn or proxy wontwork. I am good with computers, so I managed to make a command prompt, (cmd), so if there is a method to unblock it from there, that would be good. Also, a way to make me administrator would be good too, because then I could un-install the software blocking my site. I don't want to know how immoral this is, or how I could get in trouble. Please either tell me how to do it, or dot answer at all. Posted: 07 Oct 2015 08:08 AM PDT Posted: 07 Oct 2015 07:57 AM PDT My sister uses this site a lot, and she s always being told where she lives, how do they know? Can people do this on other websites? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 06:16 AM PDT Posted: 07 Oct 2015 03:20 AM PDT Posted: 06 Oct 2015 10:20 PM PDT I want to send a copy of this computer out for analysis. It is affected with malware. Is there any reasonable concern that malware could prevent it self from being cloned or duplicated during a hard drive clone? Posted: 06 Oct 2015 08:29 PM PDT Posted: 06 Oct 2015 08:28 PM PDT Posted: 06 Oct 2015 07:11 PM PDT Someone help me please. I lost my flash drive in my high school library. There are security cams in there. I already talked to three librarians and they couldn t help me. I checked on the floor and in computer, to no luck. Posted: 06 Oct 2015 06:22 PM PDT Posted: 06 Oct 2015 06:17 PM PDT I have McAfee Endpoint Security 10 and for some reason I've tried many times but it won't update. The last update was on August 10, and it hasn't worked since then. Help? Posted: 06 Oct 2015 06:15 PM PDT So I have recently been searching for a new job and got an odd email from a company that I never applied to. It wasn't such a concern until ashley470@gmail.com started my interview and started asking me for bank account info. I expressed my concerns with giving important information to an unknown source. The conversation was immediately ended. Then today she apparently forgot I spoke with her previously because she asked am I ready for an interview. When I reminded her of our previous conversation she went offline. What bothers me is that the only way to report this obvious scam or phishing attempt to empty my bank account is a single button spam/phish. I feel yahoo is not taking this seriously and is leaving itsusers open for continued attacks. Is there another way I can get this resolved. Posted: 06 Oct 2015 05:55 PM PDT I have performed multiple things to hopefully get rid of it, done multiple virus/malware scans with 4 anti-malware programs (Avast, MalwareBytes, AdwCleaner and Norton), all of them have found the issue. However when the quarantine and delete the files after a reboot, the problem exists still. I have followed multiple anti-malware guides. There are no background processes or chrome toolbars/extensions that I can see causing it. So why is it still here. Any help?
