Eset Endpoint Security Msi

I would just like to take a second to point out that if I wanted to install , , or Safari [right now] I could, and I wouldn’t have this kind of problem. But because Internet Explorer is so wrapped with the operating system— this is a big deal now.

So, now I’m thinking, let’s make an attempt to just install the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer. ACK! Not.

Jesus on a cracker!      What’s with these Microsoft folks?!

Excuse me while I calm down for a minute… goos phra bah… goos phra bah… okay – I’m done.

So, referring back at this smart fellow over at ARS; saying stuff like ‘…most modern browser…’ and it won’t even install on a Windows operating system.

What a POS…

You know what Microsoft, this is why no one likes your stuff… it’s broken from the get go. I don’t understand why I bother trying…

And an open comment to Microsoft…

And with Internet Explorer already being on my crap list for biggest POS since BOB. The fact that you can’t get your flagship web browser to install on your own confound operating system; that’s great… you’re absolutely superb. And all this work with Internet Explorer; it’s all about rebuilding the ‘image’ of Microsoft and the fact that Microsoft can do something right in the technology field. WITH STUFF LIKE THIS?! Seriously?! Keep buffing that ‘71 Pinto guys… THIS is why and WebOS and iOS are going to kick your butt. You can’t hang with it. Everything you do is either catch up, or copy it.

I’d speculate I’ll wait a while longer on this half baked installer crap. It just floors me that if you want to do a web installer, fine; have it figure out everything an user is going to need to install a software package [or a browser as with this case] and then do the intelligent thing and get it done. Stop jacking with the ‘joe average user’ and your obtuse HELP pages; just get it DONE.

As an update, I know I’m going to need to get this installed, but right now— this is just too obtuse to jack with.

Here’s what I’ve done thus far; maybe this will help…
