I usually recommend new is not always better, what is proven is the best. So I recommend in waiting for the first service pack to be released before installing Windows 8. Currently Windows 8 Pro installations may require up to 900MB of updates. There is also no more disk sector repair and image backup. If you buy a new business class system from Lenovo (ie Think series) or Dell then you may have the option to have Windows 7 Pro installed, with an option to install Windows 8Pro later. Windows 8 is more orientated towards tablets and touch screens than desktop PC’s. Windows 8 pro does have the advantage of bit-locker security included and costs less if you need another windows license.
